Governix – Privacy Policy

Controller and scope

Governix is operated by Idea M&J s.r.o., Pivovar 205/129, 900 61 Gajary, Slovakia, company registration number 47 442 867. Privacy and support contact: info@ideamj.sk. This policy covers Governix for Android, iPhone and iPad (com.governix.game), trial and purchased access, and related support. Practices labelled Android or iOS apply only to that platform. See the product page for current availability.

Data stored on your device

Your saved game, fictional avatar name, decisions and settings stay on your device and are not sent to the Governix server. On Android, Google sign-in creates a trial-access account, not game-save synchronization; protected sign-in and trial credentials use Android Keystore and are excluded from system backups. No separate Governix account is created on iOS. Manage any operating-system backups through your device settings and the relevant provider. Purchase restoration does not restore saved games. Simulated decisions are not used to profile real political beliefs.

Android: purchases and restoration

For the one-time purchase, we receive a product identifier, a protected purchase token and purchase status. Our server verifies these using the Google Play Developer API and may receive Google notifications about purchase changes or refunds. We use these data to verify, acknowledge, restore and protect legitimate access. We do not receive your payment card number or Google account password. Google Play processes payment under its own policies.

Android: trial and abuse prevention

The new version provides a 24-hour trial once per verified Google account. It starts after the first successful sign-in and server verification, runs while the game is closed, and does not restart after reinstallation or changing devices. This is not a subscription: the game locks afterwards without an automatic charge. Google authenticates your identity; our server receives a short-lived identity token and verifies its signature, audience and one-time challenge. We retain only a cryptographically pseudonymized account identifier, trial start and deadline, and session-revocation information. We do not store your name, email, profile photo or Google token, and do not request Gmail, contacts or files. Play Integrity still checks app authenticity, installation licensing and device-security signals. The new trial does not require Device Recall; older versions used a trial flag held by Google. Previously signed deadlines are preserved during migration. Purchases and restoration work separately through the purchasing Google Play account without trial sign-in.

iPhone and iPad: purchases, trial and time checks

On iPhone and iPad, Apple App Store processes purchases. Governix does not require a separate account or Google sign-in. Purchases use the Apple Account selected for the App Store.

The free “1-day Trial” product unlocks the full game for 24 hours from confirmation in the App Store. Time continues while the game is closed. Access locks when the trial expires. The trial does not automatically become a subscription and does not trigger an automatic charge. Lifetime access is a separate, optional, one-time purchase at the price displayed by the App Store before confirmation.

Apple processes payments and purchase history. Governix verifies signed entitlement information on the device using StoreKit. The operator does not receive payment card details or Apple Account passwords. The iOS app does not send Apple Account identity or purchase receipts to the Governix server.

To protect the trial against device-clock changes, the app checks time over a secure connection to the Governix service hosted on Google Cloud. This request contains no Apple Account or purchase receipt. Service operation logs may contain the IP address, time and technical request parameters. Trial access may be unavailable without an online time check. These technical logs are governed by the other provisions of the privacy policy.

Technical data and support

Server communication involves your IP address and technical request data, such as time, response status and information needed for security verification. We use them to operate the service, limit abuse and investigate outages. Application diagnostic logging is configured not to record full purchase tokens, trial receipts or request bodies.

When you contact us, we process your email address, message and information you choose to provide to resolve your request. Do not send passwords, payment card details, complete purchase tokens or sensitive information about other people.

Purposes and legal bases

Providing and verifying purchased access and related support is necessary to perform our contract with you. Proportionate security checks and fraud prevention rely on our legitimate interest in protecting the service and paying users. Where legally required, we process data to meet our legal obligations. Verification data are necessary for the trial and purchase; without them we may be unable to activate or restore access. Security checks automatically determine game access; contact us for review if you believe a decision is incorrect.

Providers and international transfers

On Android, we use Google Play Billing, Google Play Integrity and Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Logging and Monitoring). Data are provided to these services as needed for the purposes described above; support is handled through our business email. We may disclose information to competent authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal data. The game contains no advertising SDK or our own analytics SDK.

The verification server is hosted in europe-west1. This does not mean all processing by Google takes place exclusively in the EU. Relevant transfers outside the EEA use safeguards under applicable law and provider agreements, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. On Android, identity verification uses Sign in with Google; trial records use Cloud Firestore in europe-west1. Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.

On iOS, Apple App Store and StoreKit handle purchases and on-device verification. Trial time checks use the Governix service on Google Cloud in europe-west1. Apple processes payments and purchase records under its own terms and privacy policy. iOS does not use Google sign-in, Firestore trial accounts, Android Play Integrity or Device Recall.

Retention and security

Governix service operational logs, including iOS time-check requests, are configured for 30-day retention. Request rate-limit counters are short-lived. For Android, pending Google Pub/Sub purchase notifications are retained for up to 7 days; Google specifies retention of legacy Device Recall values for 3 years from the last read or write.

Local game data remain until replaced or deleted; manage operating-system backups separately. Google Play and Apple retain their own transaction records under their policies and legal obligations. We retain support correspondence while resolving a request and subsequently only as needed to protect legal rights or comply with legal duties. Verification-server communication uses HTTPS, and service access is restricted to authorized persons and services.

On Android: Trial sessions last no more than 30 days and are revoked at the next server check after sign-out or deletion; an already verified trial on another device may continue only until its original deadline. The minimal trial-use record is retained while the one-time trial offer is provided, to prevent repeat trials. Retention is individually assessed and explained when a deletion request is made. This is pseudonymous personal data, not anonymous data or a marketing profile.

Your rights and deletion

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email info@ideamj.sk. We may take proportionate steps to verify your authority. We respond without undue delay within the applicable legal deadlines; where the GDPR applies, generally within one month. We will explain any lawful extension.

On Android: Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability and object to legitimate-interest processing. Delete the trial account in the game through Settings > Access > Delete trial account; Google reauthenticates the selected account. Without the app, email info@ideamj.sk with subject Governix - account deletion. We verify authority; never send passwords, payment details or purchase tokens. Trial sessions are revoked. Only the minimal security record described above remains; its retention is individually assessed on request. Your Google Play purchase and local game are not deleted. Remove local data in Android settings; Google manages transaction data. You may complain to a competent authority, including the Slovak Office for Personal Data Protection.

On iPhone and iPad, no separate Governix account is created. Delete the app to remove the local game and manage operating-system backups separately. Email info@ideamj.sk to request deletion of support data or technical logs; the same rights and assessment described above apply. This does not close your Apple Account or cancel a purchase. Apple manages transaction records.

Age and website analytics

Governix is intended for an audience aged 16 and over. This is the intended audience, not an assigned Google Play, PEGI or App Store rating. Contact us with any concern about a minor’s data. Company website analytics are separate from the game: Google Analytics on ideamj.sk loads only after consent to analytics cookies. You can change that choice using Cookie settings.

Policy changes

We will update this policy and its revision date when our data practices change. Material changes will be communicated in a manner proportionate to their impact. Changes to Android or iOS features, providers and data practices will be reflected in this policy.
